Local fused glass artist Moishe Ragieme will be speaking at the Dunbarton Public Library on Thursday, June 25 at 6:30 p.m. The program is free and open to the public.
Moishe Ragieme was born in Beirut Lebanon of Lebanese and Israeli parents. An American family adopted him from an orphanage when he was 5 years old and together they lived abroad for 16 years. He and his new family returned to the states where he continued his education in Kansas and Texas and has received a Bachelors degree in science and an Associates degree in Nursing.
Moishe began working with glass over 15 years ago in Texas and has continued to expand his knowledge of glass as well as his technical skills. He creates custom pieces that are artistic as well as functional for the home. He gets his inspiration from patterns and colors in the daily life around him. Moishe’s style is modern contemporary and each piece is unique. His work has been juried and shown at art shows in Texas, Maryland, and Kansas.
He came to New Hampshire in 2006, opening a studio in Claremont and has since relocated to the Wambec Mill in Manchester where he continues to refine his work. When he is not working in his studio, Moishe is busy working at Concord Hospital in the emergency room as a Registered Nurse.
