The CSLC invites all people, wherever they are on their spiritual path, to attend a variety of interfaith programs aimed at building and strengthening one’s relationship with God. CSLC’s Director, Rev. Kathleen Cullen believes, “the most important thing in the world is a person’s relationship with God.” Whether you attend church regularly, occasionally, or not at all, the CSLC may be for you. Upcoming offerings include: meditation, yoga, tai chi, prayer forms, folk sing along, stress management/relief, discussion on the spiritual dimensions of addiction, and a discussion of the book, “The Faith Club”.
In a recent program entitled the “Epiphany Walk of Light” participants moved between five different stations reading and reflecting on contemplative questions. In the candlelit room, a Tibetan chime signaled the move to a new station. Participants were then given the opportunity to share their experiences, if they desired to do so. On December 30 participants ushered in the New Year during a program called, “Guided Reflection on the Old – Prayer for the New”. Participants sat in a candlelit room and were asked to jot down thoughts about the year that had passed, and about hopes and dreams for the year to come. Most recently, Chris Vlangas of Riverflow Studio, Hooksett led a relaxing evening of yoga. The gentle stretching and soft music focused on balancing the mind, body and spirit.
The Community Spiritual Life Center programs are free of charge and are held on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 – 8:30 at 7 North Mast Street, across from Sully’s Superette, in Goffstown. If you would like more information on the CSLC and its programs please call 497-2003 or email at office@stmattsepiscopal.org.

Community Spiritual Life Center Programs for March
Programs

The Center's Tuesday evening programs, held at 7 North Mast Street, cover all aspects of body, mind, and spirit. See Calendar at right. There are four general core program themes offered each month:
- Spirituality
- At least two programs each month, usually the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays, are primarily of a spiritual nature. Examples include Praying with Icons and Centering Prayer. Many relate to the church calendar such as the Epiphany Walk of Light.
- Book Group
- Meets once a month usually on the 3rd Tuesday. It provides an opportunity for participants to connect with others. Topics alternate between shorter articles and books. Participants have an opportunity to discuss the reading, relax and refuel with good conversation and enjoy some tasty refreshments. Articles and books of interest to young families are frequently discussed.
- Faithfully Fit
- Usually held on the 1st Tuesday of each month, these sessions provide opportunity for participants for physical activities that might be new to them. These programs offer group exercise instruction in Eastern forms of movement and spirituality such as Yoga and Tai Chi as well as more traditional fitness: stretching, strength and aerobics. Participants are motivated to incorporate physical activity in their daily life so they are able to continue their spiritual practice and work.
- Health and Environment
- The Center provides programs led by instructors with education, expertise and experience in topics that meet the needs and wants of a wide range of program participants. Examples include faith and technology, stress management, addictions, and healthy eating.
Special Events: In addition, throughout the year, we host special events such as retreats and quiet days. (Let us know
if you'd like to be notified about these.) During the summer recess,
occasional programs are offered as participation indicates. These may
include a walking group, stargazing, and more.
The Center is open to ideas for programmatic offerings that remain true to its mission: To provide opportunities for all who seek to go deeper in their spiritual journey and to be more open to the power of the Spirit. Use our contact form to make suggestions for topics, speakers and special events.
