Mark your calendars now! It is never too early to begin preparing for a college education. Between deciphering admission requirements and deciding how to pay for college, parents can quickly become overwhelmed. Long-range planning and goal setting are an integral part of this process. Goffstown High School and the New Hampshire Higher Education Assistance Foundation (NHHEAF) invite you to join us on Thursday, May 7th at 6:30 p.m. for a free seminar focusing on the parent's role in academic and financial preparation for college. This seminar will take place at Goffstown High School in the Craig Hieber Auditorium. We look forward to seeing you all there as you take this important first step in college planning!

The Goffstown Public Library has a new exciting project. They’ve gotten several local residents to volunteer to give a talk to Goffstown’s fourth graders in the various elementary schools in town, which they did on April 14. Neighbors have visited Maple Ave and Bartlett Elementary Schools, the Villa, and also a group of local Homeschool students.
The talks were connected with these folks’ lives in and around Goffstown and the surrounding areas. It can be about the history of different places, or experiences from their childhoods; about different people they know, or about some of their memorable experiences. The children will write about the stories and the teachers will collect them. The writings will be compiled into book form, courtesy of the Greater Goffstown Community Association, for each participating student.
The stories will be sent to Bill Wightman, Wightsteeple Productions, who will write an original script. This summer, he will join us for a 2 week theater camp, at which time the script will be brought to the stage at Rosary Hall for the community. Students will portray the characters in the stories. In addition, Bill, who is also a talented musician and songwriter, will help a group of students write and compose three original songs for the production. It is all a bit miraculous!
