FBLA had a successful day at MVMS on April 6th. A small sub-group of FBLA called the GHS Savvy Savers presented 4 short workshops to 7th/8th grade students on the importance of saving, budgeting and spending money wisely. My students worked hard to create a great PowerPoint with current statistics and interesting facts. Also, they had prizes and games to promote participation. It appeared as though all of the MVMS kids enjoyed the experience and there was a very nice connection between GHS and MVMS students. I have attached photo’s for your viewing pleasure. :)
The students who attended with me were:
Ethan Okavekas (mascot in the money costume)
Marissa Magarian (FBLA President)
Tori Carter
Ana Etienne
Kaitlinn Hoffman
We look forward to engaging in this type of community outreach again next year.
