Celebrate 100 years of Girl Scouting at the Girltopia Expo 2012 on Saturday, February 25, from 10 am to 5 pm at Saint Anselm College in Goffstown.

Girl Scouts of the Green and WAhite Mountain will be partnering with the ANimal Rescue League of New Hampshire at this event. Thos who bring two of the following items will recewive the Girltopia Expo 2012 patch for free:

Trash bags (13 or 55 gallon)
Cat food (Science Diet and Wllness- canned and dry food acceptable)
Admission is $5 ain advance, $7 at the door. All are welcome.

The Girl Scouts are hosting a Holiday Craft Fair at Stark Hall from 5-8 p.m. Admission is free, and there are door prizes. Hot food and beverages will be on sale, too. All items are priced at $8.00 or less, and have been made by Girl Scouts from the towns of Goffstown, New Boston, Dunbarton, Weare, Henniker, and Hopkinton. Come make a card for a nursing home resident, or craft for a local meals on wheels recipient. The event is being held in conjunction with the Goffstown Main Street Friday Night Under the Lights Holiday Celebration which includes hayrides, a live nativity, and a Polar Express Reading at the library.
Goffstown Troop 11128 with Elise Roy and Jessica Edmonds, and Troop 22628 with Rosalie Edmonds, Anna Ravenelle and Christie Roy, accompanied by Troop Leader Loretta Edmonds and Sally Ravenelle presented a handmade quilt to the Goffstown Historical Society on Monday night. The girls had landmark town buildings such as town hall and the library printed onto fabric and created the quilt in honor of the 250th Anniversary.
The Goffstown Historical Society is located at 18 Parker Station Road, Goffstown (497-4306). The Summer Open House Schedule is Saturday, July 16, 10 am - 2 pm; Saturday, August 20, 1 pm - 4 pm; and Saturday, September 17, 1 pm - 4 pm. Christmas with the Boomers is Saturday, December 3, 10 am - 2 pm. The next monthly meeting will be Monday, September 19. Girl Scout spring sign-up for the 2010-11 Scouting year takes place Tuesday, May 11, from 6:30 to 8 pm at Stark Hall in Goffstown. Membership is open to all girls ages 5 to 17. Adult members volunteer as troop leaders, community administrators, organizers, public relations coordinators, adult learning facilitators, board members and specialists in child development, adult and outdoor education, and administration.
