MARCH 21 MEETING

“SPA NIGHT”

The March meeting of the Goffstown Mothers Club will be a “SPA NIGHT”.

It will be on March 21, 7 pm at Goffstown High School in the Media Center.

Come and be pampered with yoga, massages, facials, and manicures.  A make up consultant from Mary Kay will be present to answer any questions about using make up.

The Goffstown Mothers Club invites any woman from the Goffstown School District to any meeting or event. Besides interesting and fun meetings the club also raises money for local charities.  The largest fundraiser, “Chocolate Lovers Fantasy” which raises money for book scholarships given to graduating Goffstown High School seniors, was held on Feb. 12.  It was a great success!  Thank you to Stonebridge Country Club for again hosting this event.

JANUARY 17th MEETING

The January meeting of the Goffstown Mothers Club will be meeting in Bedford at “YOU”RE FIRED”, at 25 South River Road.  This is a fun place to design and paint your own piece of ceramic pottery.  Bring a friend or neighbor for a night of fun!

            The meeting date is a change to a Tuesday night for this month only, and will be at 7 pm.  Please meet at “You’re Fired”. Any woman in the Goffstown School District is always welcome at any meeting.

            Watch for information about our “Chocolate Lovers Fantasy”, all you can eat chocolate buffet fundraiser.  It will be held on Sunday, Feb. 12, from 4 to 6 pm and again graciously hosted by Stonebridge Country Club on Gorham Pond Road in Goffstown.  Tickets are $15.00 and are already on sale.  Last years event was a great success so get your tickets early.

Goffstown Mother's Club Annual Fall Bake Sale

The Goffstown Mothers Club annual fall bake sale will be held on Sat. Nov. 19, from 8 am to noon at out new “downtown” location – Goffstown Ace Hardware Store.  This favorite event will have a wide variety of baked goods and treats, including pies, breads and many types of cookies.  What a wonderful way to get a head start on your Thanksgiving baking.

Goffstown Mothers Club November Meeting

            The November meeting of the Goffstown Mothers Club will be “Bring a Guest Night”.  All members are encouraged to bring a guest to the meeting.

The club will be making a boxwood tree decoration. The meeting will be on Wednesday, November 16, at Goffstown High School, room 109, at 7 pm.  All women from the Goffstown School District are welcome.

            In February of 2012, the Goffstown Mothers Club will begin it’s 70th year as a community service club.  There is a fascinating history surrounding the

club’s beginning.  We will celebrate that history in February.  Come and see what the club is all about.

            The annual “Chocolate Lovers Fantasy” will be held on February 12, and again graciously hosted by Stonebridge Country Club, on Gorham Pond Road in Goffstown.  This is an event not to miss.  All proceeds go to the club’s scholarship fund.

Goffstown Mother's Club October Meeting

The October meeting of the Goffstown Mothers Club will be on Wed. October 19 at 7 pm in the GHS Media Center.

It‘s MOVIE NIGHT!  The club members will be watching a favorite movie while making scarves.  These colorful hand tied scarves will be sold at the Goffstown Lions Club craft fair at GHS on November 5 and 6.  Please join us for a busy but fun night.  Any woman in the Goffstown School District is always welcome.

This community service club now in it’s 69th year, is always busy having fun while raising money.  The annual “Chocolate Lovers Fantasy” will be on February 12, 2012 and is the club’s largest scholarship fundraiser. Stonebridge Country Club will again be our gracious host.

Look for us at “Pumpkin Fest” on the Common, on Saturday, Oct. 15 and at the Goffstown Lions Club annual craft fair on November 5 and 6 at Goffstown High School.  The club will also be having their annual Thanksgiving Bake Sale on Sat. November 19, from 8 am to 12 noon, at Goffstown ACE Hardware.

Goffstown Mother's Club Fall Social Gathering

The September meeting of the Goffstown Mothers Club will be a social to welcome newcomers and greet members.  It will be held on Wednesday, September 21, at 7 pm in the GHS Media Center.  All guests and members will be treated to a hot paraffin wax hand treatment.

The Goffstown Mothers Club is beginning it’s 69th year, and is one of the oldest community service clubs in Goffstown.  Any woman in the Goffstown School District is always welcome.

The club meets the third Wednesday of each month during the school year and has a variety of programs scheduled for meetings each year.  It raises money for charitable donations to the Goffstown Library, the Network Food Pantry, the school nurses, and gives book scholarships to graduating GHS seniors, to name a few. The Book Scholarships this past June were awarded to:  Sarah Blanchette, Emily Ellis, Melanie Margeron, Brandon Shea, Robert Tardif, and Ella Teevan.  Congratulations!

One of the club’s biggest fundraisers is the annual “Chocolate Lovers Fantasy” held every February, and graciously hosted by Stonebridge Country Club.  Watch for information and ticket sales.

Goffstown Mother's Club Receives PSNH Grant

The Goffstown Mothers Club was recently awarded two $100 Community Service Grants from Public Service of New Hampshire.  These grants were given to the Goffstown Mothers Club as a result of club member and PSNH employee Ruth Harrington’s involvement in the club as an Executive Board member as well as her active involvement in the recent scholarship fundraising effort, the “Chocolate Lovers Fantasy”.

PSNH introduced the Community Service Grant Program in 1993 as a way of encouraging employee involvement at the local level.  The Community Service Grant Program allows PSNH to support both its employees and the organizations they are involved in through the awarding of small grants throughout the year.  Since the grant programs inception in 1993, PSNH has awarded over $920,000 in grants to schools, sport leagues, scouting troops, libraries and food pantries on behalf of its 1,500 employees.

APRIL 20 MEETING

The April meeting of the Goffstown Mothers Club will be on Wednesday the 20th, at the Little Round House Gift Shop, 9 Church Street at 7 pm.  All women in the Goffstown School District are always welcome.

            At this April meeting, members and guests will be hand knitting “Caterpillar” scarves.  These colorful and versatile scarves are fun and easy to make.

Goffstown Mother's Club Visits Millyard Museum in March

            The March 16th meeting of the Goffstown Mothers Club will be “on the road”.  The club will visit the Manchester Historic Association, Millyard Museum.

This museum is located in Mill No. 3 at the corner of Commercial and Pleasant Streets in Manchester.  Club members, guests and anyone wanting to attend, will meet at the GHS parking lot at 6:30 pm and can car pool to the museum.  There is a $5.00 admission fee.

            The Millyard Museum features a permanent exhibit called, “Women in Time”.  It tells the story of Manchester and the people who have lived and worked in the Manchester area and mills.  It includes history and displays as far back as when the native peoples fished at the Amoskeag Falls 11, 000 years ago.  The museum has over 600,000 documents and artifacts.

            The Goffstown Mothers Club invites all women from the Goffstown School District to attend any meeting or event.
