Please note: Dunbarton has a traditional style Town Meeting and School District Meeting, where the vote takes place at the meetings. All other towns and school districts are under the official ballot law, commonly called SB2. The meetings are the deliberative sessions, where discussion and changes to warrants take place, but the voting on all warrants and budgets takes place on Election Day.

On Thursday night, Scott Bartlett, Assessor for the Town of Goffstown, has been selected to receive the Lawton B. Chandler Award. Bartlett becomes the 40th recipient of this award that is given to “an individual who shows outstanding service by contributing through involvement, and encouraging others to follow in Lawton B. Chandler’s footsteps.” The award honors Lawton Chandler, who served on the New Hampshire Tax Commission from 1948 to 1972 and was recognized for his enthusiastic promotion of professionalism and education in the assessing industry. Bartlett is a Certified New Hampshire Assessor, was an officer of the New Hampshire Association of Assessing Officials for five years, has served on the Association’s Board of Directors and various committees, and is starting his sixth year as a member of the State of New Hampshire Assessing Standards Board.
