Grammy nominated singer and songwriter Judy Pancoast presented Closer To You: A Live Tribute to The Carpenters at the Regent Theater in Arlington, Ma on Sunday, February 12. Pancoast has been a fan of the Carpenters since she was a young girl growing up in Maine, and her feelings for the music were evident as she covered all their many hits big and small. Closer To You represents a new direction for the artist, who plans to now divide her time between adult contemporary music and the award winning children’s music beloved by so many of her fans. Pancoast received a Grammy nomination in 2011 for the album Weird Things Are Everywhere! and is featured on the 2012 Grammy Award winning album “All About Bullies Big and Small.” Closer To You: A Live Tribute to The Carpenters also featured 2007 GHS grads Max Arbucle and Mat Huxel.
