Friday, October 22,  9:00am - noon

 
Volunteer training to assist directly with horses and individuals with special needs in riding and driving lessons. Participants will learn how to ensure safety while walking beside the horse and assisting the rider in a series of exercises while mounted.
Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age. No horse experience is required. Volunteers are scheduled according to their availability and are asked to commit one hour per week for the six week session.
Riding and driving lessons take place in the indoor area and weather permitting on the groomed sensory trails that are located on the 96 acre property.

UpReach Therapeutic Riding Center Seeks Volunteers

The UpReach Therapeutic Riding Center in Goffstown seeks volunteers to help in sessions by leading the hourse or walking/jogging alongside, providing support as needed.  Volunteer training sessions are scheduled for Friday, June 15, from 9 a.m. to noon; and Monday, June 28, from 6 to 9 p.m.  A horse-handling clinic is also offered Saturday, June 26, from 1 to 3 p.m. Volunteer training is a prerequisite for this program  For more information, call 497-2343 or e-mail lauren@upreachtrc.org
